Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Relo Montoya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Juilio!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juilio connects with a solid leg kick.
Juilio shoots in for a double leg but Montoya sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Montoya is looking for a counter combo.
Montoya feints a jab promting Juilio to slip. Montoya then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Juilio slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Juilio tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Montoya defends well and Juilio ends up having to push Montoya into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Montoya goes for a double leg but Juilio avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Juilio continues to drive forward.
Juilio jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Montoya avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Montoya moves into range and clinches up with Juilio.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Juilio is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Montoya. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Juilio is trying to get back to his feet but Montoya has full control of the position and if anything, Juilio has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Montoya stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Montoya wants it to stay on the feet.
