Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Tower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Conroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Tower!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alan Conroy!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conroy lands a glancing blow to the side of Tower's head.
Tower takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tower circles away from the clinch attempt.

Conroy gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Tower jumps guard and drags Conroy to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Tower has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Conroy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tower.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Conroy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tower manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tower throws a big counter combination but Conroy scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Tower closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
