PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Chuckhaven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mush Mouth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuckhaven comes into the arena with whip it blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Mush Mouth!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuckhaven tries to bum rush Mouth with a series of wild strikes but Mouth uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mouth looks to land a body kick but Chuckhaven moved away.

Mouth throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chuckhaven was covering up waiting for the punch and Mouth finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mouth is looking to work some ground and pound but Chuckhaven has wrist control.

Chuckhaven is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mouth throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chuckhaven works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mouth throws a big elbow that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mouth is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Mouth trying to control but Chuckhaven is working from the bottom.
Mouth with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Mouth chips away with some ground and pound.
Mouth trying to control the position from guard on top but Chuckhaven is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mouth lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Mouth postures up in Chuckhaven's guard and throws a big left but Chuckhaven blocks it.
Mouth is pushing down on Chuckhaven's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chuckhaven is fighting to maintain full guard but Mouth has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mouth lands a nice short elbow.
Chuckhaven keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Chuckhaven is looking for a sweep. Mouth is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mouth lands strikes from half guard.
Mouth tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chuckhaven knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mouth connects with a nice short shot to Chuckhaven's temple.

Mouth lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Chuckhaven is rocked!
Mouth frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Chuckhaven sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Mouth wants to control but Chuckhaven is keeping him busy.
Mouth is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Oh Chuckhaven is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mouth lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Chuckhaven! More strikes land and this one is all over! Mouth jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mush Mouth!
In his post fight interview, Mush Mouth started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
