Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Drew Peacock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Thunda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Drew Peacock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, DJ Thunda!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peacock throws a head kick but Thunda moves out of range.
DJ Thunda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thunda lands a left and a right that sends Peacock crashing to the canvas! Thunda dives into mount looking to finish!


Peacock is rocked!


It looks like Drew Peacock has been cut.
My spies in The Beast inform me that Thunda has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Peacock wants to control but Thunda is having none of it.
Peacock is looking to improve his position but Thunda isn't that keen on the idea.
Peacock is working hard here to advance position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thunda takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Peacock sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Peacock preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Thunda stops Peacock from getting back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Peacock tries to roll over but Thunda keeps him under control.
Thunda content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Peacock is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Thunda pulls his head out easily.

Thunda is controlling the pace.
Peacock pushes Thunda off looking to stand but Thunda dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Thunda misses with a wild combination.
Thunda feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Peacocks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Peacock has managed to clinch.
Peacock tries to throw a body punch but Thunda avoids it by throwing Peacock back against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Peacock throws an elbow but misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A nice right hand lands inside from Thunda.
Peacock tries a knee to the head but Thunda blocks it.
A head punch on the inside from Peacock fails to land.
Peacock blocks an uppercut.
Thunda looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Thunda misses with a body punch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Thunda.
Peacock using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Thunda misses with the head strike.
Peacock blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The referee is keeping an eye on Peacock - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thunda digs a right hand into Peacock's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Peacock's gas tank.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Thunda has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Peacock tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Thunda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Thunda is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Peacock with a body shot.

Peacock misses with a knee to the head.
Peacock lands a nice uppercut.
Thunda has a couple of punches blocked by Peacock.
Thunda misses with some punches.

Thunda breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Peacock wants to clinch.
Thunda throws out a loose jab but Peacock uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thunda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Peacock throws a right and a left that Thunda avoids nicely.

Thunda misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Nice combo by Thunda! Oh, that's hurt him - Peacock falls to the canvas and Thunda follows him into side control.
Oh Peacock is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Peacock is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Peacock seems to have got his legs back now.
Thunda is looking to take a break and control but Peacock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Thunda takes a little break here. Peacock wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Peacock pushes Thunda away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Thunda gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Peacock manages to get back to half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Drew Peacock is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Thunda moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

DJ Thunda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Peacock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Peacock lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Thunda has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Thunda and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
It seemed like Thunda was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Thunda blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Peacock misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Thunda.

Thunda pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Thunda might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Thunda counters with a nice body shot.
Thunda connects with a stiff jab that staggers Peacock - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

During a confident post fight interview, DJ Thunda thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
