Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Terrence Blankenship!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rainer Isomaha!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Isomaha throws a nice inside leg kick.
Blankenship ducks under a wild hook from Isomaha.
Blankenship has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Isomaha.

Isomaha throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Blankenship was covering up waiting for the punch and Isomaha finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Blankenship pushes Isomaha off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Isomaha dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Isomaha throws a lazy uppercut

and Blankenship holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Isomaha has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Blankenship regains guard immediately.
Blankenship is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Isomaha trying to control the position from guard on top but Blankenship is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Isomaha is standing up over Blankenship. Blankenship looks to escape but Isomaha dives into side control.
I wouldn't like to be where Blankenship is right now.
Blankenship wants to control but Isomaha postures up.

Isomaha working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Isomaha trying to control the position but Blankenship is working away.

Isomaha is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blankenship knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Blankenship looks to move to half guard but instead Isomaha has passed into mount! Damn!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Isomaha is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Isomaha drives through with a takedown into guard.

Isomaha decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Blankenship, up you get!
Isomaha throws a sloppy head kick
and Blankenship counters with a body kick that stops Isomaha in his tracks momentarily.
Blankenship closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Terrence Blankenship has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Isomaha feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Isomaha tries to stand but Blankenship is controlling from the bottom.
Isomaha trying to control the position from guard on top but Blankenship is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Blankenship has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Isomaha has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Isomaha works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Isomaha looking to pass the guard.
Blankenship is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Isomaha wants to control from the top but Blankenship keeps moving.

Blankenship looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Isomaha passes into half guard.

Isomaha stands up and beckons Blankenship to join him on the feet.
The fighters circle, before Isomaha throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Blankenship's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Isomaha lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Rainer Isomaha!
