Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hex Tregon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tregon moves away.
Tregon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Tregon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hendrix, pushing him back against the cage.
Tregon is working for takedown but Hendrix is calmly controlling the position for now.

Hendrix manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Hendrix explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Tregon moves to clinch but Hendrix breaks away
and Hendrix counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Tregon has Hendrix pressed against the cage, preventing Hendrix from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Tregon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hendrix walks away with a smile on his face. Tregon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Tregon dives in for a single leg takedown but Hendrix sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tregon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hendrix defends well and Tregon ends up having to push Hendrix into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hendrix feints and then cracks Tregon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tregon down.

and Hendrix counters with a three punch combo that has Tregon backing up. Tregon nods at Hendrix to acknowledge the strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
