Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, God Save the Queen. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Austin Powers!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers looks to land a combination but Stone avoids it well.
Stone keeps the fight on the outside.
Stone misses with the combination.
Stone throws a right and a left that Powers avoids nicely.

Stone closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Powers to the mat! Powers manages to get full guard.
Powers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Stone wants to pass the guard but Powers is keeping the position.
Powers is trying to keep Stone in close.
Stone works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Powers trying to control but Stone postures up.
Powers is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stone's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stone's back!
Stone is in bad spot here.

Stone trying to control the hands but Powers breaks the grip.

Powers looking to break Stone's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Stone remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Powers will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Stone is breathing heavily.
Stone wants to control his opponent's hands but Powers gets his hands free.
Powers is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Stone up.
Powers controlling well, preventing Stone from escaping the position.

Powers patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Powers trying to control momentarily.
Stone tries to escape but Powers has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Powers controlling from the back.
Powers is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Stone up.

Powers is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Stone defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Good control from Powers.
Stone trying to control the action but Powers just sinks the hooks in.
Stone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Powers on the ground.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Powers has the hooks in. Stone is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Stone is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Powers off. It looks like it's working - Powers slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Stone displaying calm under pressure there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stone lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Stone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Powers tries to avoid it but Stone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Powers to the ground. Powers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stone gets caught flat footed, as Powers shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Powers trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Stone had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Powers is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Stone Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Powers's back instead.
Powers looking very determined here, making life difficult for Stone.
Powers manages to reverse the position and now he's in Stone's guard. Nice work there by Powers.
Powers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Stone keeping moving, preventing Powers from controlling successfully.

Stone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Powers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Powers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Stone not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stone lands a good elbow from the bottom.
Powers sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Powers trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.
Powers prevents Stone from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Stone looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Powers looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Stone is trying to control the action in half guard but Powers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Powers kicks off Stone and gets to his feet.
Stone wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Stone lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Powers backs up against the cage.

Stone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Powers regains half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stone prevents Powers from improving his position.
Powers is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Powers is staying active underneath Stone, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Powers is looking to control Stone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Powers avoid being mounted?
Stone is nestled in close to Powers, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Stone looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Powers takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Stone closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Stone is trying to control the action in half guard but Powers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Stone is trying to work for a kimura but Powers is defending well.
Powers is refusing to be controlled, as Stone sits in half guard.

Stone has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Stone won't allow Powers to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Powers has a closed guard, preventing Stone from standing up.
Stone postures up and lands a big shot to Powers's brow.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stone working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stone avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Powers takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Stone scores with a jab to the jaw.
Powers throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stone counters with a two punch combo.
Powers takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Stone fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Powers misses with the combination.
Powers closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Powers drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Powers pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stone is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martin Stone dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Powers doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Stone to counter with a crisp jab.
Powers is looking to land body kicks.
Martin Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone has his takedown stuffed
and Powers counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Stone throws a series of punches but Powers moves out of range.
Powers shoots in looking for a takedown. Stone tries to sprawl out of it but Powers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Powers landing a few strikes.
Stone tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Powers easily slips into full mount!

Powers looking for a guillotine from mount but Stone is having none of it.
Stone gets back to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Powers content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Stone gets full guard.
Stone preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Powers trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.
Austin Powers has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stone wants to sweep here but Powers controlling him for the moment.
Stone is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Powers is controlling him.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Stone is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stone wants to get back to his feet but Powers passes into half guard.
Powers is tying to control. Stone wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Powers not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jab, jab by Stone - just one landing.
Stone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stone misses with a series of wild punches.
Stone misses with a few strikes there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Powers with a poor takedown

and Stone counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Stone.
Martin Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Austin Powers.
Stone trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Stone lands a couple of elbows.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stone's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Stone looking to sit in guard and control but Powers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Powers stands up and waves to Stone to follow him.
Stone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Powers circles away quickly and effectively.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Powers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stone but Stone pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stone scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Stone throws a predictable looking body shot

so Powers counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stone wants to sweep but no luck.
Powers is stalling in the full guard.
Powers looking to pass the guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Stone throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

And that's the end of the fight!
Austin Powers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Powers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
