Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White has chosen Fugees - Ready or not as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Askren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris White!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White wants to get back to his feet but Askren is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Askren seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down White for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
White shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Askren as he avoids it easily.
Askren throws a hook but White avoids it easily.

Askren has managed to clinch.
White fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Askren goes for a takedown in the clinch but White prevents it.
Askren will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning White up against the cage.
Askren's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
White has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Askren after a bit of a struggle.
Askren takes a shot to the head.

White is looking to take this one to the mat.
Jon Askren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris White.
White goes for a takedown in the clinch but Askren prevents it.
