The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyka has managed to clinch.
Howitzer scores with a nice hook to the head.
Howitzer works on Boyka's body with a couple of short punches.
Howitzer lands a body shot.
Boyka tries to break free but Howitzer pushes him back against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Boyka wants a takedown but no success here.
Howitzer pushes Boyka back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Boyka tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Howitzer's elbow.
Howitzer stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Howitzer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Howitzer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Howitzer lands a nice hook to Boyka's body. Boyka takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Boyka is breathing heavily.
Howitzer fails to land with a series of punches.
Howitzer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Boyka clinches.

Boyka tries to break the clinch but Howitzer is controlling the position.
Boyka wants to get back to striking at distance but Howitzer won't allow it.

Howitzer breaks the clinch.
Boyka needs to keep his hands up - Howitzer had a free shot at his head there.
Howitzer fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Howitzer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boyka, pushing him back against the cage.
Howitzer throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Howitzer lands a hook to the side of the head.

Boyka is rocked!
Howitzer scores with a shot to the side of Boyka's head.
Oh Boyka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Howitzer digs a right hand into Boyka's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Boyka's gas tank.
Howitzer dips a shoulder and cracks Boyka with a mighty uppercut! Boyka falls back against the cage and Howitzer unloads with a barrage of strikes! Boyka is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Howitzer screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
