The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Plugious looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Yoshida!
Yoshida wants to control but Plugious is having none of it.
Yoshida can't escape the position.
Yoshida swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Yoshida is desperately trying to improve his position but Plugious has a good base and remains in mount.
Yoshida has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Plugious lands with some strikes.

It looks like Yoshi Yoshida has been cut.
Plugious lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Plugious lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Yoshida hang on?

That has opened up Yoshi Yoshida's cut even more.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yoshida tries to reverse the position but Plugious maintains control.
Plugious lands a nice shot to the head.
Plugious is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Yoshida can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The cut above Yoshi Yoshida's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Yoshi Yoshida's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
