The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai misses with a few strikes there.
king throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sakurai's waist but Sakurai gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing king off to one side.
Sakurai throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sakurai throws a series of punches but king avoids them all with ease.
king fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mayato Sakurai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

king decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sakurai is trying to get back to full guard.

king is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Sakurai is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
