Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Demian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Demian Maia has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Demian Maia seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Freddy Wade!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wade's waist but Wade gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maia off to one side.
Wade uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Maia has time to react.
It looks like Demian Maia has been cut.
Maia shoots in and gets a takedown into Wade's guard.
Wade pushes Maia off and gets back to his feet.
Maia bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Maia slips under a jab.
Decent striking displayed by Wade there.
Maia is rocked!
Wade has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Maia switches off momentarily and Wade cracks him with a monster right hand! Maia topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Wade dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Wade!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Freddy Wade!
