Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Bradley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Barrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desmond Bradley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Barrera!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradley connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Barrera's hands.
Barrera buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Barrera slips under a jab from Bradley.
Barrera digs a good body shot into Bradley's ribs.
We've been informed that Barrera has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Barrera misses with a low kick as Bradley jumps back.
Bradley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Barrera avoids a punch combination nicely.
It seemed like Barrera was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Barrera misses with a lunging right hand
and Bradley counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Barrera scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Barrera takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bradley throws out a loose jab but Barrera uses good head movement to avoid it.
Barrera's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bradley under the eye.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barrera fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bradley.
Bradley stuns Barrera with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Barrera throws a low kick but Bradley avoids it.
Barrera walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bradley checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Bradley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barrera.

Bradley scores with a one two! Barrera had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Barrera fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bradley has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bradley takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Barrera fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bradley manages to avoid it.
Barrera takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bradley takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Barrera.
Barrera fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bradley looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bradley's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bradley duly obliges.
Bradley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Barrera digs a good body shot into Bradley's ribs.
Bradley throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Barrera connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Barrera throws a nice outside leg kick.
Bradley misses with a hook. Barrera ducked under it nicely.
Barrera finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Barrera looks to land a right hand but Bradley moved out of range.
Barrera throws a quick inside leg kick.
Bradley thuds a left hand into Barrera's body.
Bradley has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barrera finds it's way round the side to connect with Bradley's head.
Bradley lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Bradley swings for the body but Barrera moves out of range.
Barrera tries to counter by closing the distance.
Desmond Bradley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barrera defending well as Bradley loads up on a big left hand.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Barrera walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bradley.
Bradley throws a looping overhand right but Barrera ducks down to avoid it.
Bradley keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Barrera counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bradley looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Barrera, right into the meat.
Barrera throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Barrera keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Barrera looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bradley tries a low kick but Barrera avoids it.
Barrera throws a lazy right hand but Bradley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Desmond Bradley will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bradley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Barrera throws out a counter right but Bradley avoids it with no problem.

and Bradley takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bradley checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bradley cracks Barrera with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Bradley looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Barrera in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Barrera is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Bradley goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
No joy there for Bradley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Barrera tries to counter with a clinch but Bradley shakes him off and moves away.
Bradley is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Barrera throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bradley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bradley works the jab nicely.
Barrera throws a good cross that connects.

Oh Bradley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Barrera tests Bradley's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bradley throws a right and a left that Barrera avoids nicely.
Barrera swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Barrera jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Barrera wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bradley ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Barrera scores with a kick to the body.
Barrera throws a poor cross that misses
and Bradley counters with a nice uppercut.
The fighters circle, before Barrera throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Bradley's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Barrera lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Mario Barrera!
