Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dzon Dzons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dzons shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Knight eats them both and turns towards Dzons to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Timmy Knight has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Dzons. No joy for Knight on that attempt.
Dzons is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Knight moves in looking to clinch but Dzons pushes him off.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dzons is defended easily by Knight.

Dzons shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Knight napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Knight bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Knight looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Dzons has one foot on Knight's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Knight shoots for a takedown but Dzons saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Knight closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dzons to the mat! Dzons manages to get full guard.
Knight lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Dzons is trying to control the position but Knight postures up.
Knight really is a fat lump.
Knight postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Dzons has an active guard here but Knight has managed to pass into half guard.

Dzons is trying to control the position but Knight postures up.
Dzons throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Dzons wants to stand and escape but Knight is having none of it.
Knight is fighting to break Dzons's control of his arms but Dzons is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Dzons controls Knight momentarily but Knight frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dzons clinches up with Knight and pushes him back against the cage.

Knight escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dzons keeps the fight on the outside.

Knight drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Knight working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Knight is breathing heavily.

Dzons is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Knight might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Knight is in close to Dzons's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knight postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Timmy Knight will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Knight shoots in looking for a takedown. Dzons tries to sprawl out of it but Knight keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dzons manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dzons gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dzons wants to control the position but Knight says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Knight has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knight is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Knight prevents Dzons from standing back up.

Dzons really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Knight is looking for a kimura but Dzons is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Knight to get the leverage.

Timmy Knight overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dzons wants to control but Knight passes into side.
Dzons is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Dzons wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Knight has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Dzons's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Dzons is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Knight!
