Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lonje Moco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patterson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Still Unbroken" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moco lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Patterson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

and Moco holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Moco turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moco thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Moco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Patterson on the ground.

Moco seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Patterson for as long as he can get away with.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Moco takes a little break here. Patterson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Moco has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Moco rushes Patterson and presses him up against the cage.

Patterson moves into range and clinches up with Moco.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Moco lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Moco has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Lonje Moco overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like Russell Patterson has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
You can see the frustration on Patterson's face as Moco controls the position.

Moco continues to hold on tight.
Moco is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Patterson can do to turn this around?
