Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrija Kostic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Lockhart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kostic has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Josh Lockhart will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josh Lockhart!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kostic takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Lockhart digs a good body shot into Kostic's ribs.
Kostic misses with a head kick.
Lockhart sizes up Kostic with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.


It looks like Andrija Kostic has been cut.
Lockhart lands a jab to the nose.

Lockhart moves into the clinch successfully.

Lockhart's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kostic throws out a loose jab but Lockhart uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lockhart moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Lockhart throws a good cross that connects.
Lockhart feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kostics jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Lockhart avoids the head kick by Kostic.
Kostic will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Lockhart counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kostic thinking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lockhart cracks Kostic with a right hand to the side of the head.

Lockhart leaves Kostic with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lockhart bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Oh Kostic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Josh Lockhart is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nice defenses there by Lockhart.
Kostic seems to have got his legs back now.
Lockhart scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kostic shoots in for a takedown but Lockhart shows good takedown defense.

Lockhart digs a right hand into Kostic's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kostic's gas tank.

A nice right hand lands inside from Lockhart.

Lockhart breaks from the clinch.
Lockhart defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kostic.
Kostic tries a head kick but it misses.
Lockhart looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Kostic is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.


Jeez, Andrija Kostic's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Lockhart tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kostic swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jab, jab by Lockhart - just one landing.
Kostic fails with the takedown
and Lockhart scores with a counter punch that sends Kostic to the canvas! Lockhart smells blood - he's punishing Kostic with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Kostic has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh Lockhart!

Josh Lockhart very nearly forgot to thank Hellraiser FightGear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
