Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michale Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Boii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boii is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Eatin' Pussy/Kickin' Ass. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boii throws a lazy head kick

and Waters counters with a nice double leg into side control. Boii won't be happy with that.
Boii tries to bench press Waters off him but Waters keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Waters decides to stand back up.
Boii closes this distance looking for a takedown but Waters circles away.
Boii scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Michale Waters has been cut.
Boii throws a sloppy head kick and Waters moves out of range easily.

Boii tries to keep at a distance but Waters has taken the fight into the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Boii as the two fighters clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Boii breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Waters moves out of range of the body kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boii tries to bum rush Waters with a series of wild strikes but Waters uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Waters tries to counter by clinching up but Boii breaks away and moves out of range.
Waters blocks a head kick by Boii.
Waters misses with a takedown attempt - Boii sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boii throws a right hand that Waters ducks under and follows up with a left that Waters also avoids with ease.
Waters drops down looking for a counter takedown but Boii sprawls and moves away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Waters is looking to control Boii's arms but Boii gets an underhook and turns him. Now Waters has his back to the cage.
Waters takes an elbow to the temple.
Boii lands with a short head shot on the inside.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boii manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Boii throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Waters blocks it with crossed arms.
Waters is trying to break the clinch but Boii has him pressed against the cage.

Waters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boii misses with a combination

and Waters counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Waters decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A head kick by Boii misses

and Waters counters by moving into the clinch.
Waters fails to pull guard.

Waters jumps guard and drags Boii to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Waters keeping moving, preventing Boii from controlling successfully.
Boii in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Boii missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Waters could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boii accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Boii has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Boii won't allow Waters to get back to his feet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Waters is on top in guard.

Waters won't allow Boii to sweep him here.
Waters throws a big elbow that misses.

Waters stands and steps away. Boii gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
A punch combination from Waters misses.
Boii attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Boii has closed the distance and engaged Waters in a clinch.

Waters jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Waters looking for a sweep. Not yet Waters, not yet.
Boii postures up.
Boii slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Waters wants to stand and escape but Boii is having none of it.
Waters wants to sweep but no luck.
Waters wants to stand but Boii is controlling the position.
Waters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Waters is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michale Waters will probably get the nod.

Boii slaps away a takedown attempt from Waters, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Boii connects with a high kick.
Boii throws a series of punches but Waters avoids them all with ease.
Boii is looking to clinch but Waters is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Waters takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Waters is rocked!
Michale Waters is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Waters is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Boii just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Waters has gone limp and this one is over!
