Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cale Downes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nameless Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fighter has chosen Dan Balan Like as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cale Downes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nameless Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter throws out a powerful jab.
Fighter scores with a three punch combo!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Downes.
Fighter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Downes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Fighter throws out a counter right but Downes avoids it with no problem.
Fighter keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A lazy left from Fighter finds it's target.
Fighter cracks Downes with a good jab.
Fighter works the jab nicely.
Downes takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fighter keeps the fight on the outside.
Fighter scores with the left hand. Downes knows he should have avoided that one.
Downes takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Downes ducks right into an uppercut from Fighter.
Downes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fighter sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cale Downes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fighter connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Downes looks for a takedown but Fighter sprawls well.

Fighter is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Downes throws a sloppy head kick and Fighter moves out of range easily.
Fighter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Downes fails to land the takedown.
Fighter let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Downes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Downes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fighter tries to avoid it but Downes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fighter to the ground. Fighter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Downes throws a head kick that misses.
Fighter leaves Downes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Downes is breathing heavily.
Nice shot by Fighter.
Fighter connects with a jab.
Fighter scores with a jab to the jaw.
Fighter getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fighter has closed the distance and engaged Downes in a clinch.

Fighter lands a left hand that snaps the head of Downes backwards.
Downes blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Downes drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fighter throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Downess head.
Downes tries to pull guard but Fighter won't allow it.
Fighter pushes Downes back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Fighter fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Fighter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Fighter stops a takedown attempt from Downes.
Downes blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Downes breaks the clinch.
Downes takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Downes walks into a stiff left hand from Fighter.
Fighter jabs Downes to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Fighter misses with a two punch combination.
Fighter connects with a looping right hand.
Fighter is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Downes had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Fighter stalks Downes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Downes's face. Downes staggers backwards, shaken.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Downes closes the distance and pushes Fighter back into the cage.

Downes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nameless Fighter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Downes fails to land the takedown.
Fighter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Downes.
Fighter throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Downes on the wrong end of a nice jab.
We've been informed that Fighter has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Downes has a takedown stuffed.
Fighter stuffs the takedown attempt from Downes. Downes gets slowly back to his feet.
Fighter jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Downes takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Downes looks for a takedown but Fighter sprawls well.
Fighter lands a glancing blow to the side of Downes's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Downes shoots in but no luck this time.

Fighter scores with a nice strike.
Fighter scores with a one two! Downes had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Nice shot lands for Fighter.
Fighter lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Downes takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Fighter scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Fighter looks to land a combination but Downes avoids it well.
Nice straight punches there by Fighter. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fighter.
Fighter lands a glancing blow to the side of Downes's head.
Downes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Downes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fighter lands a jab to the nose.
Downes shoots for a takedown but Fighter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nameless Fighter dominated that round.
That's time! Downes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Downes on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Downes wants to clinch.
Fighter might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Downes drives through with a takedown into Fighter's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fighter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Downes throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Downes drops back looking for a leg! Fighter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fighter manages to kick Downes off! Downes jumps back into Fighter's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Downes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fighter, up you get!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Downes shoots in for a takedown but Fighter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Downes takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Downes takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Fighter lands the left hand.
Nameless Fighter seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Downes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fighter circles away.
Fighter misses with a double jab

and Downes counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Downes trying to control but Fighter is working from the bottom.
Downes throws an elbow that misses. Fighter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Downes's guard. Nice move by Fighter!

Downes lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Downes trying to control the position from guard on top but Fighter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Downes pushing down on Fighter's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Downes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fighter can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Downes throwing shots but Fighter is blocking nicely.

Downes is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Downes is trying to work for a kimura but Fighter is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Downes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Downes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Downes has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Fighter defend it? Downes steps over the head and cranks it - Fighter is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Downes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Cale Downes!
Cale Downes really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Bloodlust Horde Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
Nameless Fighter spoke after the fight, saying 'I will be back And I`ll win YOU MOTH****CKERS!'.
