Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fletcher Montgomery!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuo Oshiro!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oshiro rushes Montgomery and presses him up against the cage.
Oshiro is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Montgomery breaks the clinch.
Oshiro misses with a jab, cross combination.
Montgomery has his takedown stuffed
and Oshiro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Oshiro scores with a body shot.

Oshiro scores with a takedown into Montgomery's guard.


Montgomery is rocked!

Oshiro gets to his feet - Montgomery follows without any prompting.
Oh Montgomery is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kazuo Oshiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Oshiro.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Oshiro wants to get back to striking at distance but Montgomery won't allow it.
Montgomery misses with a knee to the head.
Montgomery seems to have got his legs back now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Oshiro wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Oshiro is trying to break the clinch but Montgomery has him pressed against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Montgomery tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Oshiro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Oshiro throws a left and a right that both miss

and Montgomery counters with a shoot takedown. Oshiro fights it but they end up in guard.

Oshiro scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Some wild striking there from Oshiro.
Montgomery doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Oshiro counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fletcher Montgomery. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sloppy strikes from Oshiro. Those never looked like landing.

Oshiro has taken the fight to the clinch.
Montgomery is trying to break the clinch but Oshiro is controlling him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Montgomery keeps control of Oshiro as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Oshiro scores with a shoulder strike.
Oshiro tries to break free but Montgomery pushes him back against the cage.
Oshiro is looking to break free of the clinch but Montgomery has double underhooks.
Montgomery jumps guard but Oshiro turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A short uppercut from Oshiro.
Montgomery keeps control of Oshiro as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Oshiro tries to circle away but Montgomery has him pinned against the cage.
Montgomery really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Oshiro is trying to push Montgomery away but Montgomery has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Montgomery has Oshiro pressed against the cage, preventing Oshiro from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Montgomery pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kazuo Oshiro dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Montgomery gets caught flat footed, as Oshiro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Montgomery looking to hit a scissor sweep but Oshiro is one step ahead there.

Oshiro gets to his feet. Montgomery looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Oshiro closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Montgomery did well to prevent Oshiro getting side control.
Oshiro wants to stand but Montgomery has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Montgomery gets full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Montgomery is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Oshiro has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Montgomery is proving hard to escape from.
Montgomery is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Oshiro postures up.
Montgomery bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Oshiro's guard.

Montgomery won't allow Oshiro to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Montgomery with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Montgomery slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Oshiro wriggles free and stands up.

Oshiro instigates a clinch.

Montgomery escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Oshiro displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Montgomery.
Oshiro is looking for the big counter here.

Oshiro scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Oshiro decides to stand up, so the ref orders Montgomery to his feet.
Oshiro circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Montgomery to the canvas! Montgomery doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Oshiro keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kazuo Oshiro!
