Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Jim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Langford!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Langford connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Langford connects with a crisp jab.
Jim has been working on his boxing with his coaches at NYC Alpha (Conditioning and Sparring Gym) in the buildup to the fight.
Jim takes one on the button.
Jim tries to move into range but Langford moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Langford dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Langford slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Langford with a nice cross.
Langford is looking to score with low kicks.
Langford connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jim. Jim circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Langford fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jim on the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Langford jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Langford scores with a jab to the head.
Donk. Langford catches Jim right on the button with a cross.
Langford is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jim had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Jim is breathing heavily.
Langford feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jims jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!


Jim is rocked!
Langford pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jim drops down looking for a counter takedown but Langford sprawls and moves away.
Oh Jim is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Langford might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Jim avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jim appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Langford misses with a hook

and Jim counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jim seems to have got his legs back now.

Jim wants to work for an arm triangle but Langford is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jim really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Langford tries to get to full guard but Jim has control of the leg.

Jim is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Langford defends it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Langford can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jim prevents Langford from improving his position.

Jim is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Langford doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jim.

Langford controlling the position well.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
We've been informed that Langford has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jim takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Langford connects with a body shot that sends Jim's belly button to the back.
Langford rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Langford slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Langford misses with the combination.
Langford with a jab.
Reggie Langford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Langford throws out a powerful jab.
Jim on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Jim walks into a stiff left hand from Langford.
Jim gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Langford lands a jab to the head.
Jim takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jim takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Langford connects with a single shot there.
Langford with a hook.
Langford throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Langford dominated that round.
That's time! Jim's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Langford thuds his right hand into Jim's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jim goes for a double leg but Langford avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Langford continues to drive forward.
Langford has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jim bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jim gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Langford.
Langford keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Langford connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Langford thuds a left hand into Jim's body.
Jim drops his hands momentarily and Langford takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Reggie Langford seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Jim gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Langford cracks Jim with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Langford fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jim is out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Langford cracks Jim with a hook to the temple - Jim is on wobbly legs here! Langford swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Jim falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Langford wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Reggie Langford!
In his post fight interview, Reggie Langford started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
