Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Issac Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robbie Gronkowski!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gronkowski shoots in but no luck this time.
Gronkowski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Summers paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Summers throws a quick counter head kick but Gronkowski was just out of range.
Gronkowski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Summers was well out of range. Poor timing from Gronkowski.
Summers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gronkowski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Summers defends it nicely.
Summers throws a quick counter head kick but Gronkowski was just out of range.
Summers circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gronkowski dives in and grabs Summers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Summers pushes down on Gronkowski's head and hops out.
Issac Summers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robbie Gronkowski.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Summers closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Gronkowski tries to clinch up but Summers circles away and keeps his distance.
Summers lands a head kick. Gronkowski smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Summers avoids the body shot from Gronkowski.
Summers throws a sloppy head kick and Gronkowski moves out of range easily.
Gronkowski throws a body shot but no joy.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Summers instigates a clinch.
Gronkowski tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Summers just stands there and leans against the cage.

Summers manages to break the clinch.
Gronkowski misses with a takedown attempt
and Summers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gronkowski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Summers as he avoids it easily.
It looked like Summers was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gronkowski is defended easily by Summers.
Summers throws a big counter combination but Gronkowski scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Summers goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Summers feints and as Gronkowski raises his hands in defense, Summers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Summers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Summers gets to his feet - Gronkowski follows without any prompting.
Gronkowski misses with a takedown attempt - Summers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Summers goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Gronkowski gets tackled into the cage by Summers. Summers maintains the clinch.
Summers lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Gronkowski or not.

Summers jumps guard.
Summers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Summers looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gronkowski won't allow Summers to sweep him here.
Summers is pulling down on Gronkowski's head to control his posture.

Robbie Gronkowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

As Gronkowski looks to move away, Summers throws a big counter combo but Gronkowski just gets out of the way.

Summers throws a solid leg kick but Gronkowski takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Summers.
Gronkowski tries to bum rush Summers with a series of wild strikes but Summers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Summers looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Summers stands up and beckons Gronkowski to his feet.

Summers has taken the fight to the clinch.

Summers breaks from the clinch.
Gronkowski moves in looking to clinch but Summers pushes him off.
Summers throws a sloppy head kick and Gronkowski moves out of range easily.
Gronkowski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Summers as he jumps to the side.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Summers fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gronkowski, pushing him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gronkowski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Summers is working away from the top position though.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Summers lands a nice short elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Summers connects with a nice short shot to Gronkowski's temple.

Summers takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Summers winds up and cracks Gronkowski with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Summers is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gronkowski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Summers.

Well Summers has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
