Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Landin Elinburns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coleman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Superstar by Lupe Fiasco. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derrick Coleman! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elinburns moves into the clinch. Elinburns jumps guard.
Elinburns can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Coleman controls the pace. Elinburns is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Coleman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Elinburns looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Coleman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Elinburns is keeping the position for now. Coleman wants to control from the top but Elinburns keeps moving. Elinburns wants to sweep here but Coleman controlling him for the moment. Elinburns has Coleman pulled in close to control his posture. Coleman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Coleman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Coleman lands in his opponent's guard. Elinburns is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Elinburns is pulling down on Coleman's head. It's preventing any offense from Coleman, at least for the moment. Elinburns looking to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Coleman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Elinburns is fending him off so far but Coleman persists. Nope, Elinburns circles away and we're back to standing. Elinburns fails with the takedown enabling Coleman to counter with a crisp jab. A solid leg kick lands there for Coleman.
Coleman feints and as Elinburns raises his hands in defense, Coleman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Coleman wants to control from the top but Elinburns keeps moving. Elinburns is breathing heavily. Elinburns throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Coleman passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Elinburns is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Coleman sitting and controlling from the half guard. Elinburns is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Elinburns has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Coleman is working away from the top position though. Elinburns wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Coleman missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Coleman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Elinburns sprawls well initially but Coleman persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Elinburns wants to get back to full guard. Coleman is trying to work for a kimura but Elinburns is defending well.
Elinburns is trying to maintain the position but Coleman is very close to passing his half guard. Coleman content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Coleman is looking to take a break and control but Elinburns is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Coleman controlling the pace. Coleman is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Elinburns! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Derrick Coleman dominated that round. That's time! Elinburns's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Coleman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Elinburns is not content to let Coleman control the position. Elinburns throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Elinburns sneaks out the side door and pushes Coleman away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Coleman shoots in and bounces Elinburns off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Coleman wants to control from the top but Elinburns keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Derrick Coleman. Elinburns takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Elinburns shoots in but no luck this time. Elinburns wants to clinch up but Coleman keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman feints and as Elinburns raises his hands in defense, Coleman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Coleman trying to control the position from guard on top but Elinburns is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Coleman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Elinburns keeping moving, preventing Coleman from controlling successfully. Coleman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Coleman sitting in guard here, content to control. Coleman pushes down on Elinburns's leg and manages to get into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Coleman lands a nice short elbow. Coleman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Elinburns keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Coleman content to control rather than advance.

Elinburns pushes down on Coleman's leg and manages to get into half guard. Elinburns prevents Coleman from improving his position. Elinburns wants to stand but Coleman has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Coleman trying to hold on to Elinburns's head to control him but Elinburns postures up.

Derrick Coleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Still in half guard, Coleman seems content to control. Coleman is looking to advance position but Elinburns won't allow it. Elinburns is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Coleman scores with a couple of nice shots. Coleman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Coleman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Coleman stalling away here and it's allowed Elinburns to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Coleman stopping the sweep attempt from Elinburns.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Derrick Coleman. Coleman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Elinburns punching from the bottom.
Coleman tries to pass the half guard into mount. Elinburns knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Elinburns has one foot on Coleman's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Derrick Coleman has got the better of the ground game so far. Coleman buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Elinburns tries for a takedown but Coleman circles away easily and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Elinburns is staying active underneath Coleman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Elinburns is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Coleman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Elinburns is not content to let Coleman control the position. Elinburns is doing well to control the position and prevent Coleman from advancing to side control. Coleman is pressing down on Elinburns's thigh, looking to free his foot. Elinburns is holding on for now. Elinburns is looking to escape. Elinburns wants to get back to full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Coleman gets the takedown into side control. Coleman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Elinburns keeps working. Elinburns prevents Coleman from improving position. Elinburns is trying to control Coleman's posture but Coleman avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Let's hope that Coleman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Coleman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Elinburns has escaped the position, nice work there. Elinburns manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Coleman wants to pass the guard but Elinburns is defending well. Elinburns is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Landin Elinburns has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Coleman tries to pass to full mount but Elinburns defends it.
And that's the end of the fight! Derrick Coleman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Coleman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
