Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Mikhail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Mikhail!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tyler Allen!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen tries to clinch but Mikhail moves out of range.

Mikhail closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Allen pushes Mikhail away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mikhail gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Mikhail working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mikhail is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Allen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Allen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mikhail. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Allen tries to clinch up.
Allen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Mikhail takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Allen throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Allen throws a nice inside leg kick.
Allen fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Mikhail counters with a shoot takedown. Allen fights it but they end up in guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Allen stuffs the takedown attempt from Mikhail. Mikhail gets slowly back to his feet.

Mikhail decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Allen pushes Mikhail off looking to stand but Mikhail dives back in and keeps control.

Allen has one foot on Mikhail's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
A bone on bone clash there as Mikhail blocks the leg kick.
Allen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Mikhail shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Mikhail is trying to work for a kimura but Allen is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mikhail is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Allen defends it well.

Allen tries to get to full guard but Mikhail has control of the leg.
Allen is trying to stand.
Allen tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Mikhail is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Allen!

Allen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Mikhail looking to break Allen's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Allen remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Mikhail will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Mikhail shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Allen as he jumps to the side.
Allen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Mikhail counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Allen's guard now.

Vladimir Mikhail overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Allen tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Allen throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Mikhail drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mikhail jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Allen throws a right and a left that Mikhail avoids nicely.
Allen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mikhail swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Allen misses with a kick to the body.

Mikhail looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Mikhail is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Mikhail is working for a kimura but Allen is defending it quite comfortably.

Mikhail is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Allen has managed to free his arm - good work.
Allen keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Mikhail is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mikhail is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Allen is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
