The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ginga throws a leg kick which misses Hammer's front leg but catches the back leg as Hammer tries to avoid it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ginga.
Cassios Ginga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hammer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hammer closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

and Ginga counters with a low kick, right behind Hammer 's knee.
Hammer ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hammer steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ginga. That one must have hurt.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ginga.
Hammer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hammer looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hammer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hammer throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hammer misses with a jab, cross combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hammer takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Hammer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ginga was well out of range. Poor timing from Hammer.
Ginga scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Hammer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That kick from Ginga tenderised Hammer's leg. Hammer is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've been told by Ginga's head coaches at MMA School that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ginga blocks a jab.

Hammer stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ginga.
Hammer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ginga fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hammer.
Hammer swings for the body but Ginga moves out of range.

Ginga thows a body kick. Hammer tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Hammer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ginga looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hammer misses the shot to the body.
It looked like Ginga wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Ginga jabs Hammer to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Hammer is rocked!
Hammer glances at the clock... BAM! Ginga nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Hammer crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Hammer is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
