Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Arlowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paco Velanze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Arlowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paco Velanze!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velanze fails in his attempt to clinch.
Arlowski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Velanze.
Velanze throws a series of punches but Arlowski avoids them all with ease.
Velanze throws a push kick but Arlowski slaps the foot to one side.
Velanze keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Velanze takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Velanze counters with a single leg into guard. Arlowski didn't expect that.

Paco Velanze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Velanze throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Arlowski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Velanze crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Arlowski - the referee stops the clock and Velanze gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Arlowski. Velanze manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Velanze swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Velanze throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Arlowski's waist but Arlowski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Velanze off to one side.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Arlowski counters with a two punch combo.
Arlowski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Velanze.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ron Arlowski.
I think Arlowski has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
