Odom decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Odom gets caught flat footed, as Valdez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Odom could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Valdez looks winded!

Odom is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Odom lands a good elbow from the bottom.
Odom has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Odom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Valdez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Odom is tightening it up a little... Valdez has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Valdez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Valdez taps out! Nice BJJ there by Odom!
