The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vettenranta goes for a double leg but Shango avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shango continues to drive forward.
Shango lands with a good body shot.

Shango has been working on his boxing with his coaches at City of Angels Fight Academy in the buildup to the fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shango. Vettenranta does a little dance to reset his feet.

Papa Shango has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaleva Vettenranta.
Vettenranta misses with a takedown attempt - Shango sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
