Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Douglass Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Greene!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Watson and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Henderson clinches up with Greene and pushes him back against the cage.

Greene lands a takedown into guard.
Greene throwing strikes from guard but Henderson blocks nicely.
Greene throws a big elbow that misses.

Henderson working for a triangle but Greene defends it easily.
Henderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Greene on the ground.
Greene trying to control but Henderson is working from the bottom.
Henderson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greene distracts Henderson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Greene cracks Henderson with a solid left hand.
Greene lands a couple of digs.

Greene keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Henderson's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Greene working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Henderson's head.
Greene chips away with some ground and pound.
Henderson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Greene is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Henderson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Greene distracts Henderson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Henderson throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Greene has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Greene working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Henderson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Greene defends well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Greene passes into half guard.

Greene is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Henderson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Greene.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Greene is trying to work for a kimura but Henderson is defending well.
Henderson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Greene scores with a couple of nice shots.
Greene is trying to control. Henderson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Greene lands a nice short elbow.
Greene blocks the strikes from Henderson.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Greene is working for a kimura but Henderson is defending it quite comfortably.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Henderson gets back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Henderson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Greene doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Greene manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Greene stands up over Henderson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Henderson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Henderson is breathing heavily.
Greene forces his way into half guard.
Greene is keen to just control but Henderson is a slippery customer.
Greene lands with a punch from half guard.
Henderson wants to get back to full guard.
Greene working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Greene connects with a nice short shot to Henderson's temple.


Henderson is rocked!

Greene maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Henderson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Greene has cracked it and Henderson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Greene!
