Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyle Rad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 31 - 0, fighting out of New York, Greg Dellaria!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rad throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dellaria throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rad scores with a shot to the body.
Good work by Rad as he checks the leg kick.
Dellaria stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rad.
Dellaria throws a leg kick but Rad sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Rad connects with a solid leg kick.

Dellaria darts in and clinches Rad up against the cage.

Rad pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Greg Dellaria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dellaria gets a clinch.
Rad is trying to break the clinch but Dellaria is controlling him.

Dellaria breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rad really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dellaria throws a leg kick but Rad sees it coming and moves out of range.

Rad dives in for a single leg takedown but Dellaria sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Rad takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Dellaria doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rad makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rad was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Dellaria shoots in for a takedown but Rad shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dellaria fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rad checks it well.
Rad shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dellaria as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Rad. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rad just misses with a punch to the body.
Despite the aggression on Dellaria's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Dellaria uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rad.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greg Dellaria dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rad lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dellaria has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dellaria and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Dellaria has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Rad wants to slow Dellaria down by chopping away at his legs.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dellaria! But no joy.
Dellaria tries to close the distance and clinch but Rad swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Rad tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dellaria was well out of range. Poor timing from Rad.
Rad is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Dellaria moves into the clinch.
Oh Rad is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rad misses with a hook to the ribs.
Dellaria blocks a body shot from Rad.

Rad is trying to force a seperation but Dellaria has the dominant position.
Rad seems to have got his legs back now.
Rad wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Dellaria doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rad counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dellaria is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Dellaria shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dellaria was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dellaria is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rad is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dellaria tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Rad pushes Dellaria away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dellaria gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Dellaria is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rad has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A close second round but Greg Dellaria will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Rad pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Dellaria wants to clinch up but Rad keeps it at a distance.

Dellaria feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Dellaria is looking to slow Rad down with leg kicks.

Rad moves forwards but Dellaria connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Dellaria bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Some bone on bone action there as Dellaria checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Rad looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Dellaria swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dellaria's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Dellaria throws a front kick aimed at Rad's knee but Rad avoids it well.

Rad went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Rad throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Rad gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dellaria to score an easy takedown into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dellaria seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Greg Dellaria comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dellaria has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
