Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mohamed Khanidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee has chosen Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohamed Khanidov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, William Lee!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khanidov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Khanidov showed some decent athleticism there.
Lee is looking for a sweep. Khanidov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lee trying to hold on to Khanidov's head to control him but Khanidov postures up.

Khanidov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lee defends it well.
Lee works his way to full guard. Good work.
Khanidov with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Khanidov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Khanidov trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lee looking for a sweep. Not yet Lee, not yet.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Khanidov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lee has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Khanidov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lee.
Khanidov wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee sneaks back into half guard.
Lee is not content to let Khanidov control the position.

Khanidov tries to stand but can't do so whilst Lee controls his leg.
Lee trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Khanidov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lee is looking to escape.

Khanidov breaks from Lee's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Khanidov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lee is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Lee is wriggling around trying to escape.

Khanidov wants to finish this one by submission but Lee is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Khanidov.
Khanidov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lee on the ground.
Lee manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Lee wants to control but Khanidov is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Lee is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Khanidov pulls his head out easily.

Khanidov is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Khanidov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lee regains guard immediately.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Khanidov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lee is breathing heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Khanidov wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

Lee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Khanidov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Khanidov's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khanidov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Khanidov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Khanidov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Khanidov controls the pace.

Khanidov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Khanidov has managed to get both his arms back between Lee's legs - danger averted.
Khanidov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Lee has his foot on Khanidov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Khanidov works his way back into a safe position though.

Khanidov clinches up with Lee and pushes him back against the cage.
Lee blocks the elbow strike.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Khanidov wants to pass the guard but Lee is defending well.

The fighters are battling for position here. Lee manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Lee has control of Khanidov's left arm, preventing Khanidov from doing any damage.

Lee pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Khanidov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lee wants to control but Khanidov is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Khanidov wants to take a breather but Lee is having none of it.

Lee tries to roll over but Khanidov keeps him under control.

Khanidov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Lee is looking to clinch but Khanidov is avoiding it.

William Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lee stalks Khanidov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Khanidov's face. Khanidov staggers backwards, shaken.

Khanidov forces Lee back against the cage and clinches.
Khanidov stalls.
Khanidov blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Mohamed Khanidov showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Khanidov has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
