Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Estrada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlton Moretto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlton Moretto will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Estrada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlton Moretto!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moretto just misses with a punch to the body.
Estrada attempts a counter takedown but Moretto avoids it well and moves away.
Moretto scores with a three punch combo!


It looks like Christopher Estrada has been cut.
Estrada could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Moretto throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Estrada stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Estrada misses with a left hand
and Moretto counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Estrada thinking.
Moretto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Estrada is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Moretto lands with a nice combination. Estrada backs away looking to recover.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Estrada lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Moretto is looking for a sweep. Estrada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Moretto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Estrada is working away from the top position though.
Moretto pushes Estrada off looking to stand but Estrada dives back in and keeps control.

Moretto has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Estrada is on him like a limpet, forcing Moretto back against the cage.
Moretto tries to land knees in the clinch but Estrada avoids the damage to the body.

Estrada blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Estrada is looking to control Moretto's arms but Moretto gets an underhook and turns him. Now Estrada has his back to the cage.

Moretto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Moretto moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Estrada takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Moretto has managed to clinch.

Estrada lands a takedown into guard.
Moretto controlling the position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Moretto wants to sweep but no luck.
Moretto pulls Estrada in close to his closed guard and prevents Estrada from doing any damage or advancing position.
Estrada has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Moretto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Estrada is one step ahead there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Moretto counters with a series of strikes. Estrada will be more careful next time no doubt.
Moretto is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Moretto swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Estrada counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Estrada shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moretto's guard.

Moretto wants to stand and escape but Estrada is having none of it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Estrada is struggling to control the position.
Still in the clinch, Moretto scores with a nice short uppercut.

Moretto escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Estrada tries to keep at a distance but Moretto has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Estrada has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Moretto regains guard immediately.

Moretto looking for a sweep. Not yet Moretto, not yet.

Estrada stands up and waves to Moretto to follow him.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Moretto in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Moretto rushes Estrada and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Estrada is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Moretto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carlton Moretto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Estrada takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Carlton Moretto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Estrada looks to score with a jab to the body but Moretto is just out of range.

Estrada has hold of one of Moretto's legs. Moretto is fighting the takedown attempt but Estrada gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Moretto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Moretto's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Estrada can't keep his opponent in guard - Moretto advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Estrada is in trouble now - Moretto has advanced to mount!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlton Moretto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Moretto explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Estrada seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Moretto is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are battling for position here. Moretto manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Estrada changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Moretto looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moretto will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Estrada drops his hands momentarily and Moretto takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Carlton Moretto is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Moretto shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Estrada eats them both and turns towards Moretto to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Estrada tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Moretto makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Carlton Moretto seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Estrada on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Estrada has clasped his hands together around Moretto's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Carlton Moretto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Moretto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
