Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fintan Stack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fintan Stack is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fintan Stack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ethan Carter!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carter darts in and clinches Stack up against the cage.

Stack pulls guard effortlessly.
Carter won't allow Stack to sweep him here.

Carter stands and steps away. Stack gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Carter closes the distance and pushes Stack back into the cage.
Carter working aggressively here.
Carter prevents Stack from breaking the clinch.
Carter looking to throw knees to the head but Stack is blocking nicely.

Carter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Carter has managed to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carter jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter looking to control.

Stack gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Carter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carter misses with a head kick.
Stack appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Stack gets tackled into the cage by Carter. Carter maintains the clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Carter.

Carter has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Stack clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Carter struggling to keep hold of the position.
You can see the frustration on Stack's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Stack knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carter on the ground.
Stack is trying to get back to his feet but Carter has full control of the position and if anything, Stack has just worked his way into a worse spot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carter is hanging on to Stack's back as he tries to escape.
Stack trying to control the action but Carter just sinks the hooks in.
Stack wants to escape the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Will Carter go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Carter is not going to allow Stack to sit and survive in this position.
Stack is trying to get back to his feet but Carter has full control of the position and if anything, Stack has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Stack turns into Carter and is now in his guard.
Stack controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Carter wants to sweep here but Stack controlling him for the moment.
Stack has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Stack postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Carter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stack, into his guard.

Stack looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Carter passes into side control.
Stack is pushing Carter's head away, looking to escape. Carter manages to hold on to the position though.

Carter stands up.
Carter throws a right and a left that Stack avoids nicely.
Stack appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Carter gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Stack managing to block the knees to the body from Carter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ethan Carter dominated that round.

Carter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Carter trying to stall but Stack improves his position.

Carter decides to pull guard.
Stack content to stall in guard here.
Stack has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stack is one step ahead there.

Stack is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Carter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Carter has escaped and now he's on top!

Stack wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Carter prevents Stack from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carter stands and steps away. Stack gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Carter misses with an attempted mid kick.
As Carter backs away, Stack returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Carter closes the distance and clinches.
Carter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Carter missing with knees to the body.

Carter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Carter throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stack was covering up waiting for the punch and Carter finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Carter stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Carter moves into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carter crunches a lovely knee into Stack's ribcage.

Stack decides to pull guard.
Carter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stack's guard.
Carter prevents Stack from standing back up.
Stack is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Stack is staying active underneath Carter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Stack wants to sweep but Carter has passed to side control!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Carter stands up and beckons Stack to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Carter moves into the clinch.
Carter blocks a body shot from Stack.
Carter looking to slow down the pace here.

Stack jumps guard and drags Carter to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Stack is working an open guard so Carter takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Carter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ethan Carter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!



Carter has managed to clinch.

Carter is trying to trip Stack. He has hold of a leg but Stack is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Carter persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Stack is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Carter dives into side control.


Carter stands up and beckons Stack to his feet.
Carter throws a low kick, looking for Stack's leg but Stack calmly moves out of range.
Stack looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carter closes the distance and clinches.

Stack ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stack no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Carter wants to control from the top but Stack keeps moving.
Stack has control of Carter's left arm, preventing Carter from doing any damage.

Carter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Carter clinches with his opponent.

Carter pulls Stack into guard.
Carter being controlled here, momentarily.

Stack trying to stand up but can't free himself from Carter's guard.
Stack wants to pass the guard but Carter is keeping the position.

Stack slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Carter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Carter scores with a takedown into Stack's guard.

Stack has an active guard here but Carter has managed to pass into half guard.

Stack is staying active underneath Carter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ethan Carter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Carter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
