The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worzekk works Hicks's body with a nice hook.
Hicks shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Worzekk but Worzekk pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Worzekk fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Worzekk wants to clinch up but Hicks keeps it at a distance.
Hicks is looking to counter the offense by Worzekk and move into the clinch.
Hicks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Worzekk throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice sprawl there from Hicks as Worzekk shoots in.
Worzekk clinches up against the cage.
Hicks has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Worzekk uses from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Worzekk content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Hicks has locked up a guillotine! Hicks's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Worzekk is holding on here and Hicks must be using up a lot of energy. Worzekk has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hicks gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
