The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Varga takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Summers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Varga throws out the jab.
It looked like Summers was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Varga throws a hook but Summers avoids it easily.

As Varga looks to move away, Summers throws a big counter combo but Varga just gets out of the way.

Summers gets caught flat footed, as Varga shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Varga wants to stand but Summers has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Summers keeping moving, preventing Varga from controlling successfully.

Varga is fighting to break Summers's control of his arms but Summers is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Summers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Varga tries to free his leg and advance position but Summers is retaining full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Summers is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Varga moves into range and clinches up with Summers.
Summers manages to break the clinch.

Varga loads up on a big right hand but Summers slips the punch.

Summers tries a head kick but it misses.
Hundo Varga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Varga darts in looking for a takedown but Summers gets double underhooks and turns Varga into the cage.
Summers throws a big counter combination but Varga scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Summers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Varga.
Varga bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Varga blocks a head kick by Summers.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Varga, as that shot connected.
Summers takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Varga connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Varga throws a leg kick that is checked
and Summers counters with a left and a right that stings Varga.
Varga scores with a nice head shot.
Summers is rocked!
Summers gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Varga gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Summers is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hundo Varga!
