Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shelby Hamilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norge Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shelby Hamilton has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia moves away from the strike by Hamilton.
And Garcia tries to counter it with a takedown but Hamilton pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Garcia has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Garcia there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hamilton tries to clinch but Garcia moves away

so Garcia counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hamilton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Garcia on the ground.
Hamilton has Garcia pulled in close to control his posture.
Garcia not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hamilton is pulling down on Garcia's head. It's preventing any offense from Garcia, at least for the moment.
Hamilton wants to sweep here but Garcia controlling him for the moment.

Hamilton looks to land a left hand but Garcia moved out of range nicely.
And Garcia tries to counter it with a takedown but Hamilton pushes his down on his head and steps out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hamilton thuds his right hand into Garcia's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Garcia moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Garcia keeps the fight on the outside.
Hamilton tries to clinch

and Garcia counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Garcia is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hamilton is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Garcia looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Garcia wants to control from the top but Hamilton keeps moving.
Garcia seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Garcia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Garcia looks winded!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hamilton throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Hamilton loads up on a big right hand but Garcia slips the punch.
A swing and a miss from Hamilton.
Garcia changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hamilton lands with a kick to the ribs.
Hamilton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Garcia moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Shelby Hamilton will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hamilton throws a body shot but no joy.
Garcia drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hamilton defends it well.

Hamilton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Garcia napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hamilton is trying to ground and pound but Garcia uses the momentary lack of control by Hamilton to regain half guard.

Hamilton is looking for submissions but instead, Garcia has regained full guard.

Hamilton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Garcia can do to turn this around?
Garcia lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Garcia is breathing heavily.

Garcia stays in close to Hamilton's body and controls the position.

Garcia thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hamilton pulls Garcia in close to prevent any damage.

Garcia drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hamilton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hamilton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hamilton!

Hamilton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Hamilton swings around for an armbar but Garcia sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hamilton's guard.

Garcia felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Garcia is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hamilton off and has taken his back!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hamilton is really stuck here.

Garcia has got one arm under Hamilton's chin. This could be trouble... Hamilton trying to control the other hand but Garcia gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Hamilton has tapped out! The fight is over!
