Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Curt Wooten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mad Rob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wooten takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Wooten defending well as Rob loads up on a big left hand.
Wooten digs a good hook to Rob's body.
Rob misses with a looping right.
Rob throws a body punch but Wooten moves out of range.
Rob throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wooten throws a head kick but Rob moves out of range.
Wooten fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rob misses with an uppercut
and Wooten counters with a three punch combo that has Rob backing up. Rob nods at Wooten to acknowledge the strikes.
No joy there for Rob, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rob showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wooten.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nice straight punches there by Rob. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rob.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rob, right into the meat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wooten throws a series of punches but Rob moves out of range.
Wooten definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Wooten has Rob up against the cage in a clinch.

Rob's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Wooten just misses with a punch to the body.
Wooten takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A nice inside leg kick there by Rob. That's going to slow Wooten down.
Rob scores with a jab to the jaw.
Rob tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Wooten clinches.
Rob lands with a short shot to the head.

Rob breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice body punch from Rob.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rob, as that shot connected.
Rob connects with the punch.
Rob will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wooten works over Rob's head and body with a nice combination.
Rob avoids the head kick by Wooten.
Wooten is breathing heavily.

Wooten doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Rob swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rob jabs Wooten right on the nose. Wooten blinks but takes it well.
Rob cracks Wooten with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Wooten closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rob circles away.
Wooten misses with an uppercut. Rob saw that one coming.
Nice body punch from Rob.
Donk. Rob catches Wooten right on the button with a cross.
Wooten moves out of range as Rob strikes.
Rob is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Rob.
Rob throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wooten has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Rob.
Rob misses with a two punch combination.
Rob throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rob cracks Wooten with a good jab.
Rob looks to score with a jab to the body but Wooten is just out of range.
Rob looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rob is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wooten misses with an uppercut

and Rob counters by moving into the clinch.
Wooten has a couple of punches blocked by Rob.

Rob pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rob lands a jab to the head.
Wooten defending well as Rob loads up on a big left hand.
Wooten moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rob lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rob lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Wooten staying out of range there.
A swing and a miss from Rob.
Mad Rob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooten takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Rob throws a nice head kick!

Wooten is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rob lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Oh Wooten is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rob is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Wooten had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Rob connects with a crisp jab.
Some wild striking there from Wooten.

Rob throws a jab when Wooten was well out of range.
Rob throws a quick inside leg kick.
Wooten takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Rob bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Rob slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Rob showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wooten.
Rob connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wooten. Wooten circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Rob has cracked Wooten with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Rob lands another huge swinging hook and Wooten tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Wooten, before Rob can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mad Rob!
