The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Minh closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Albert's guard.
Albert being controlled here, momentarily.

Albert is looking for a triangle but Minh pushes his legs off easily.
Albert is wriggling around but Minh manages to pass to half guard.
Minh thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Albert's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Minh is pressing down on Albert's thigh, looking to free his foot. Albert is holding on for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Minh with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Albert wants to get back to full guard.
Minh prevents Albert from standing back up.
Minh sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Albert defending well though.
Well, if Minh is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Albert tries to clinch up

and Minh counters with a crisp one two that drops Albert! Minh thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Albert to his feet! Albert is in big trouble!

Minh shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Albert is trying to defend but Minh finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Minh is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Albert defends it well.
Minh slows the pace down in half guard.

Minh moves into full mount! Albert won't be happy about that!

Minh moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Albert has worked his arm free - good work by Albert!

Minh has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Minh will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Albert throws a counter high kick but Minh was just alert enough to avoid it.
Minh lands a nice hook to Albert's body. Albert takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Albert moves out of range of the body kick.
Minh tries a head kick but it misses.
Minh lands with a big left! Albert is wobbled badly! Minh comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Albert to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
