Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sharuto Nogira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacobee Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nogira scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Nogira stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Storm misses with a low kick.

Nogira manages to pull guard.
Nogira is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nogira had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Storm is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nogira Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Storm's back instead.
Storm is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Storm is in a bad position with Nogira working for a choke. Storm manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Nogira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Storm doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Storm manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Storm stands up from Nogira's guard - Storm perhaps looking for a knockout.
Nogira stuffs the takedown.
Storm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nogira tries to avoid it but Storm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nogira to the ground. Nogira escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Storm bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Nogira is looking to regain half guard here but Storm keeps moving and retains side control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Storm decides to take the fight back to the feet.

so Storm counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Storm really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nogira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Storm wants to control from the top but Nogira keeps moving.
Nogira wants to control but Storm passes easily into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jacobee Storm will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Storm tries to close the distance and clinch but Nogira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nogira walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.


It looks like Sharuto Nogira has been cut.

Storm breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sharuto Nogira is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Storm is looking to chop away at Nogira's legs.
Nogira avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Storm has taken the fight to the clinch.
Storm keeps control of Nogira as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Storm escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nogira tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Storm misses with a jab, cross combination.
Storm doesn't manage to clinch there - Nogira circles away.
Nogira could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Nogira has control of Storm's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Storm regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jacobee Storm has got the better of the ground game so far.

Storm bucks up and throws Nogira to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Storm throws a nice inside leg kick.
Storm is looking to clinch.

Nogira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Storm controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Storm gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Storm swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Storm shoots in but Nogira avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A bone on bone clash there as Nogira blocks the leg kick.

Storm rushes Nogira and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nogira wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Storm's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nogira doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Storm counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Storm trying to control but Nogira is working from the bottom.

Storm is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Nogira has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Storm is looking to defend but Nogira has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Storm! Nogira pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Storm taps out and this one is all over!
