Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Angelino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bryan Jackson!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angelino swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Angelino scores with a shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Angelino. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jackson tries to counter by closing the distance.
Angelino throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jackson blocks the strikes from Angelino.
Angelino controlling the position for now.
Jackson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Angelino is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Angelino is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jackson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jackson looks to land a combination. Angelino sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Angelino needs to keep his hands up - Jackson had a free shot at his head there.
Angelino throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Angelino sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Angelino is positioning himself well to prevent Jackson advancing to mount.
Jackson wants to take a breather but Angelino is having none of it.
Angelino is trying to maintain the position but Jackson is very close to passing his half guard.
Angelino is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jackson scores with a couple of nice shots.

Angelino tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson is thwarting Angelino's attempts to control the position.
Jackson is trying to control the action in half guard but Angelino is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Jackson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Angelino haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Angelino moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jackson works over Angelino with some ground and pound from guard.

Jackson gets to his feet. Angelino looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

It looks like Bryan Jackson has been cut.

Jackson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Angelino manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Angelino pulls Jackson in to control the position.

Jackson fails with the takedown
and Angelino counters with a nice uppercut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jackson.
Angelino misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jackson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Angelino avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jose Angelino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jackson goes for a double leg but Angelino avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Angelino continues to drive forward.
Jose Angelino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan Jackson.

Angelino throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jose Angelino will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Angelino ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.
Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Angelino pinned against the cage. Angelino gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jackson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Angelino circles away quickly and effectively.

Jackson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Angelino looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Angelino looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Angelino!

Jackson throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
A lull in the action here.
Angelino's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Angelino trying to control the position but Jackson is working away.
Jackson tries to bench press Angelino off him but Angelino keeps the position.
Jackson can't do much from the bottom here.
Angelino moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Jackson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Angelino rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jackson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Angelino misses with a lunging right hand

so Jackson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Angelino looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

I would just about give that final round to Bryan Jackson.
I think Jackson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
