Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor kalitonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Ludy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kalitonov has closed the distance and engaged Ludy in a clinch.
kalitonov looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Ludy lands an uppercut.
Ludy is trying to break free.

kalitonov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ludy turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ludy manages to end up in side control.

Ludy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. kalitonov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ludy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ludy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! kalitonov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ludy, into his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ludy wants to control from the top but kalitonov keeps moving.

Ludy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ludy tries to bum rush kalitonov with a series of wild strikes but kalitonov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ludy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with kalitonov but kalitonov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ludy drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ludy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Ludy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ludy lands a couple of elbows.
Ludy wants to control from the top but kalitonov keeps moving.
kalitonov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ludy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ludy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
kalitonov slips a jab and a cross from Ludy.
Ludy wants to clinch.
Ludy tries to clinch but kalitonov moves out of range.
Ludy rushes kalitonov and presses him up against the cage.
kalitonov prevents Ludy from breaking the clinch.
Ludy breaks from the clinch.
Ludy is looking to clinch but kalitonov is avoiding it.
kalitonov misses with a takedown attempt
and Ludy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in kalitonov's guard.
kalitonov manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ludy moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Ludy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and kalitonov counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ludy throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and kalitonov manages to pass to side control.
Ludy struggling a bit here.
Ludy is trying to get back to his feet.
Ludy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with kalitonov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ludy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but kalitonov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Rudy Ludy has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ludy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

kalitonov has the hooks in. Ludy is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. kalitonov passes his arm under Ludy's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Ludy taps!
