Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergey Dravinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sergey Dravinski!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dravinski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dravinski is nestled in close to Diaz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dravinski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Diaz is looking for a sweep. Dravinski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Diaz wants to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sergey Dravinski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dravinski scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Diaz doesn't seem bothered though.

Dravinski is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Diaz's half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dravinski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Diaz is looking for a triangle but Dravinski pushes his legs off easily.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dravinski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Diaz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dravinski postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dravinski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dravinski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Diaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dravinski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Diaz wants to free his trapped foot but Dravinski is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Dravinski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Diaz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Diaz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dravinski is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dravinski creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dravinski connects with a nice short shot to Diaz's temple.

Sergey Dravinski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dravinski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
