Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ferdo Perdec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza leaves Perdec with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Souza throws a counter high kick but Perdec was just alert enough to avoid it.

Perdec unleashes a big counter combination but Souza bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Souza misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A nice side step and Perdec releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Perdec throws a push kick but Souza slaps the foot to one side.
Souza defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Perdec.

Souza tries to score a power double leg takedown but Perdec sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Souza somewhat.

Perdec is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Souza to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Souza shrugs it off.

Perdec is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Souza has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Ferdo Perdec showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Perdec has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
