The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniel shoots in looking for a takedown. Souza tries to sprawl out of it but Daniel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Souza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Souza lands with a nice body punch.
Souza lands with a nice combination. Daniel backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Ahmad Daniel has been cut.
Daniel tries for a takedown but Souza sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Souza fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Souza lands a nice shot to the body.
Souza ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Souza lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Souza stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Souza scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Souza throws a series of punches but Daniel moves out of range.
Left hook, right uppercut from Souza.
Daniel is rocked!
Daniel shoots in for a takedown but Souza shows good takedown defense.
Oh Daniel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
