Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michel Trevino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michel Trevino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ian Thomas !
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trevino blocks a head kick by Thomas .
Trevino shoots in but no luck this time.

Thomas shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Thomas was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Trevino is looking for a sweep.
Trevino is being controlled here.
Thomas wants to stand but Trevino is controlling his arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thomas tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Thomas lands an elbow.

A lull in the action here as Thomas stalls from top position.

Thomas is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Trevino has escaped the position, nice work there.
Thomas happy to just control the position for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Trevino is trying to control Thomas 's posture but Thomas avoids it.
Thomas controls the position from side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Trevino tries to buck Thomas off but Thomas is having none of it.
Thomas takes a little break here. Trevino wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Trevino tries to improve position but can't.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Thomas closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Trevino quickly recovers to half guard.
Trevino tries to kick Thomas off in order to stand up. Thomas Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Trevino's shoulder. That is not cool.
Trevino tries to bench press Thomas off him but Thomas keeps the position.
Trevino wants to get back to his feet but Thomas drags him back down.

Thomas works to advance to full mount. Trevino defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trevino is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Thomas landing strikes, looking to finish!

It looks like Thomas might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ian Thomas dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Thomas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Trevino to the mat! Trevino manages to get full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Thomas 's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Thomas seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Thomas scores with a decent looking elbow strike.


Trevino is rocked!
Trevino can't keep his opponent in guard - Thomas advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thomas looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Trevino with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Oh Trevino is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thomas lands a big elbow - Trevino is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Thomas !

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ian Thomas !
