Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sol Goode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geghard Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sol Goode!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Geghard Mousasi!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goode gets the takedown into side control.

Goode decides to stand back up. Goode steps back and let's Mousasi get back to his feet.
Mousasi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Goode throws a head kick but Mousasi moves out of range.
Sol Goode seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mousasi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mousasi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Goode tries to clinch up but Mousasi circles away and keeps his distance.
Mousasi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Goode circles away.

Goode closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Goode stands up and beckons Mousasi to his feet.
Mousasi looks for a takedown but Goode sprawls well.
Mousasi looks gassed!
Goode shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mousasi counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Goode shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Goode is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Goode tries to stand and escape but Mousasi is controlling the position.
Goode trying to pass the guard but Mousasi defending well.
Goode prevents Mousasi from improving his position.

Mousasi is looking to control Goode's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mousasi avoid being mounted?

Mousasi is looking for a sweep. Goode is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Mousasi looks like he's trying to stand up.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mousasi wants to control but Goode is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Goode looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Goode gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Goode doesn't manage to clinch there - Mousasi circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sol Goode dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Goode clinches but Mousasi breaks the clinch
and Mousasi finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Goode looks to throw a body kick
and Mousasi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Goode shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Mousasi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Goode decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Goode tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mousasi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Goode fails with the takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Goode shoots in looking for a takedown. Mousasi tries to sprawl out of it but Goode keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Mousasi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mousasi fails with the takedown.
Goode throws a leg kick but Mousasi moved away.
Mousasi looks to land a combination but Goode avoids it well.
Mousasi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Goode fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sol Goode. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Goode tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Mousasi counters with a takedown into side control.

Mousasi trying to control the position but Goode is working away.
Goode is trying to control Mousasi's posture but Mousasi avoids it.
Goode manages to get back to half guard.
Sol Goode overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Goode moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Mousasi wants to pass the guard but Goode is keeping the position.

Mousasi trying to control the position from guard on top but Goode is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Goode controlling Mousasi's posture.
Goode's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Goode is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mousasi is trying to hold Goode in close to prevent damage but Goode has managed to pass into half guard.
Mousasi wants to stand back up but Goode manages to pass into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sol Goode will probably get the nod.

The fight stays on the outside here - Goode looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Goode perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Goode in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Mousasi tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Goode!
