Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Killer Karl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manson Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wright is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Distillers - Drain the Blood. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karl fails with a takedown attempt.
Wright keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Karl fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wright, pushing him back against the cage.
Karl successfully pulls guard.
Karl wants to sweep here but Wright controlling him for the moment.
Wright wanted to stand there but Karl had control of the position.

Wright must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Karl is on top in guard.

and Wright counters with a nice double leg into side control. Karl won't be happy with that.
Wright laying and praying for a moment but Karl takes advantage and regains half guard.

Karl bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wright's guard.
Karl decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Wright stuffs the takedown attempt from Karl. Karl gets slowly back to his feet.
Wright gets a clinch.
Karl tries to stall but Wright uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
A head punch on the inside from Wright fails to land.
Karl breaks from the clinch.
Manson Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wright blocks a head kick by Karl.

Wright changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Karl looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Karl's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Karl is not content to let Wright control the position.
Wright decides to stand up, so the ref orders Karl to his feet.
Karl shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wright as he avoids it easily.

Wright bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Karl throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Karl gets back to half guard.
Karl regains full guard. Nicely done.
Karl scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Karl shoots in but no luck this time.
Karl lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wright at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Manson Wright has got the better of the ground game so far.

Karl closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Karl closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Karl lands in his opponent's guard.
Karl works over Wright with some ground and pound from guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Manson Wright will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Wright throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Wright feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wright stands up and waves to Karl to follow him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wright tries to roll over but Karl keeps him under control.
Karl is trying to control the action in half guard but Wright is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wright moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Karl is sitting in close to Wright's body. Wright has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Karl is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Karl is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Wright.
