The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Johnson wants to stand and escape but instead Vang has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vang can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson wants to stand up but Vang is controlling him.
Vang controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vang's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vang with a flurry of punches that miss.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Johnson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Vang keeps moving.

Johnson stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Vang throws up his legs and catches Johnson in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Johnson tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Vang! That came out of nowhere!
