The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Phillips is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black is trying to stand up here but Phillips is controlling him well.

Black is trying to control Phillips's posture. Phillips takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Black! Phillips is rotating here... this could be the end... Black is out! Phillips has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
