Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Clipper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Fredriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredriksson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hot 'n cold. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Clipper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arnold Fredriksson!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clipper throws a sloppy head kick and Fredriksson moves out of range easily.
A swing and a miss from Clipper.
Nice sprawl there from Clipper as Fredriksson shoots in.
Fredriksson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Clipper is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fredriksson.
Clipper throws a right hand that Fredriksson ducks under and follows up with a left that Fredriksson also avoids with ease.

Clipper is looking for a sweep.

Fredriksson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fredriksson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Fredriksson tries to score with some ground and pound. Clipper controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Fredriksson throws an elbow but Clipper slips to the side and avoids it well.
Fredriksson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Clipper some visible discomfort.

Fredriksson tries for a kimura but Clipper is defending well.
Fredriksson throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Clipper works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Clipper is staying active underneath Fredriksson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Fredriksson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Clipper wants to get back to his feet.

Fredriksson closes the distance and clinches up with Clipper, looking for a takedown. Fredriksson pushes Clipper against the cage but Clipper circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fredriksson cracks Clipper with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Clipper wants to get back to his feet.
Fredriksson drops an elbow to the side of Clipper's head.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Fredriksson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Clipper's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Arnold Fredriksson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Clipper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fredriksson pinned against the cage. Fredriksson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
