The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ness with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Returner to score with a decent uppercut.
Returner misses with a wild body shot.
Ness will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ness will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Returner fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ness, pushing him back against the cage.
